What is heat transfer vinyl?

Heat transfer vinyl, often called HTV, is a colored vinyl sheet that is cut into your design, cleaned of the excess material, and pressed onto the garment with a heat press. Heat and pressure bond it to the fabric, giving you a clean, solid-color finish.

Finishes and colors

When another method is better

Vinyl is not the best fit for designs with many colors, gradients, or fine detail. In those cases DTF is usually the better choice. For big orders of simple designs, screen printing is often the better value. We will always recommend the method that fits your design and budget.
